Joan McLachlan is the director of Internship Quest, LLC, an educational consulting company specializing in helping schools and community colleges build quality internship programs by providing field-tested internship materials for a comprehensive internship program.
She has logged more than 30 years as an educator and currently serves as a consultant in the Greater New York City Area to the Nassau County High School Principals’ Senior Year Network and is a senior educational consultant with Measurement Incorporated, specializing in career program development and research.
Her expertise in internships, career education, senior year activities, and alternative schools began as the USDOE National Diffusion Network Project Director for City-as-School High School, NYC, a nationally validated program for experiential learning.
In addition, she has also taught Research, English as a Second Language, Special Education, Writing and English both on the secondary level and as an Adjunct at Baruch College in New York City.
